Tunbridge Wells C. C. Opening Again
Since the closure of Fenton’s rink in Tunbridge Wells, there’s been a hole in the middle of English Curling. However, some of the association’s stalwarts have put in the effort to reopen the rink in the South East under the guise of the Tunbridge Wells Curling Club.
The club, which has agreed a lease of the old rink, is opening in style later this month with a Roaring Twenties themed opening bonspiel.
For those in the south east, including the schools who played out of the previous rink, the resurgence of the roaring game in Kent will be a big boost – not to mention to English curling in general, with two dedicated rinks now operating in the country.
For more information on the new club, how to get involved, and how to enter into the Invicta Bonspiel – which takes place from the 28th to the 30th of March 2025 – visit their website here, or drop them an email at info@tunbridgewellscurlingclub.co.uk
